Cosmo Seafoods Co., LTD is committed to human rights and fair labor practices throughout our supply chain. It is very important that production of canned tuna for our business is carried out under conditions which respect these rights. We are strictly against forced or underage labor on fishing vessels.

All of our suppliers need to comply with Ghana Shipping Act, 2003, ACT 645 which deals with crew’s condition and regulations, including section 144, where talks about crew’s leave and holidays; A seafarer is entitled after twelve months of continuous service on a Ghanaian ship, or for the same employer, to annual leave with pay, the duration of which shaIl be not less than thirty working days for each year of service. If the supplier is discovered with non-compliance of Ghana Shipping Act and other related regulations including forced or underage labor, we cease all trading with that vessel and any products produced with materials from alleged vessel must be withdrawn and be discarded.

All costs and damages generating from this will be under supplier’s liability.
