Vessel Registration and ISSF

 


All vessels purchased from must be flagged to Ghana in order to qualify for duty free access to EU market. All vessels must be a member of Regional Fisheries Management Organization(RFMO) they are fishing within the jurisdiction of. All purse seine vessel must have a UVI number(or IMO) issued by ISSF regardless of capacity. All purse seine vessels must have a policy mandating full custody of non-target tuna catch, unless unfit for human consumption as define in ISSF Conservation Measure 3.3. Cosmo Seafoods Co., LTD will help suppliers to work with any vessels that do not meet the requirements. If the vessel is not able to meet any of the requirements, we won’t make any business with the supplier and will be removed from our supplier list.
